The “Bauer” mandolin has a hand carved arched curly
maple back and sides with a master grade spruce top.
All tone woods are quarter sawn book matched
material. The quarter sawn curly maple neck is hand
fitted to the body using a dove tail joint and
includes and ebony veneered peg head with the pearl
“Bauer” logo and binding. The top is fitted with two
quarter sawn tone bars. Choose either a flat or
radius ebony fingerboard with pearl dots and
binding. Many options are available in hardware,
inlays and bindings. “Bauer” mandolins are finished
using “green friendly” water based lacquers and are
polished and buff to a high gloss finish.
